What it is
The 9.01 Project was a community impact initiative I worked on my senior year of college in which some classmates and I offered a practical solution to reducing our food waste and addressing on-campus food insecurity.
My Contribution
Throughout the project, I relied heavily on my strengths in emotional intelligence, work ethic, and resourcefulness. Emotional intelligence helped me understand the needs and perspectives of the different bodies at stake. Whether that being the students experiencing food security of the campus partners that would be involved in food distribution. My work ethic was reflected in my commitment to the project, one that had a budget of $100K and very little time to complete. My research, collaboration, and realistic implementation were reflective of my work ethic. Resourcefulness played a key role as we navigated challenges such as a short timeline and strict budget. Being able to identify viable and realistic campus resources was a challenge but played to my strengths as well.
